So, I just finished reading TenNapel’s new GN, Bad Island, which features a dead snake throughout the storyline. My own pet snake, a sweet little western hognose by the name of Keshia, passed away today. I have a couple of comments:
1. What a mindblowing coincidence, and
2. Mr. TenNapel, you have GREATLY underestimated the stinkiness of a dead snake.
Nevertheless, I found Bad Island oddly comforting. My intense love of Doug TenNapel’s works and the fact that something that occurred in the story was paralleled in my own life probably had something to do with it.
Her name meant “favorite.”
R.I.P., Keshia. You were so beautiful. <3
